Christmas Party For Dogs
This weekend, we spent another Saturday at a dog event. I love meeting pet parents and watch other dogs' different personalities. The Christmas Party was at Pioneer Square in Seattle and there were tons of dog owners with their dogs as well as several vendors offering their services such as dog treats, dog boarding, and dog training. What surprises me though is that most of the vendors who participate at these events barely promote themselves, but rather just pay for a booth and hope dog owners will come to them. Not vice versa. The whole idea for small business owners at events like this is to build relationship with potential customers and promote their brand. Dog owners are already there, so it's not difficult to get them to their booth if they use right techniques. It's more difficult to get customers come to you after spending an enormous amount of money on advertising. It's just very surprising to me that they didn't take advantage of the opportunity.
It was an amazing event though, lovely people, good networking, and a dog parade. Very well organized!
