Our first stop on this road trip was in Spokane where we just spent the night at the Hilton hotel. I’m happy we booked the night fairly close to Seattle as there was a major accident on the road in which caused delays. We didn’t spend too much time in Spokane so I cannot really say much about the town itself, but it seemed to be a pretty small town, but with a fun nightlife if you’re into that. Our second stop was driving through northern part of Idaho and then into Montana. Idaho was beautiful! We stopped at had lunch overlooking the gorgeous Hayden Lake and snapped some pictures before driving for several hours into Montana. I was amazed by the breathtaking views of the mountains surrounding the roads. At 6:00 pm, after we’ve been driving for 8 hours, we arrived in Helena, MT and decided it was time to check in at a motel to get a good night’s rest. We bought Chinese take out and watched a good movie in bed. I was very disappointed with the town Helena as I had heard it was a historical town, but there was literally nothing to see. Will see what day 3 brings along.
